Having said that, there’s nothing that you should never joke about, but it depends what the joke is. Comedy comes from a good or a bad place. It’s an intellectual pursuit. At best, it’s rooted in truth, too. And the subject of the joke isn’t necessarily the target. This is a common mistake ‘offended’ people make. You should be careful to only make fun of things in people that they can help. Not things they have no control over. And remember, just because someone is offended, it doesn’t mean they’re in the right. Some people are offended by equality, for example.”
